GAC R&D CENTER

GAC R&D CENTER is established in 2006, invested 22.1 billion in total till Dec. 2018. As the technical management division and the pivot R&D system for GAC group, GAC Engineering is responsible for GAC‘s strategic planning, implementation of new technology and new products R&D, which is an independently operated branch within authorized scope.

 With domestically leading and internationally advanced R&D facilities, GAC R&D Center has built up 15 kinds of labs covering vehicle tests, powertrain tests, new energy vehicle tests, etc. and a prototyping plant providing welding, painting, assembling and machining operations. There’s also a proving ground in GAC R&D Center. 

R&D Investment: Adhering to the development of the self-owned brand for 10 years, GAC R&D Center has invested 29.2 billion RMB in total until Mar,2020. It is expected to invest over 20 billion RMB during the 13th Five Year Period.

R&D Staff: There are over 4,300 R&D employees. Dozens of them are entitled as “Excellent Technical Talents of Chinese Auto Industry”, etc.

Patent: The number of patents has increased rapidly. There are 5217 patent applications in total, and 35% of them are for innovation.

Innovation Platform： GAC R&D Center has the National Certified Enterprise Technology Center, Innovative and Venture Base for Overseas Top Talents , Post-doctoral Scientific Research Workstation, Academician Workstation ,etc.
