In October 2017, China FAW took Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory of faw liberation Automobile Co., Ltd. as the main body, and integrated Doitz FAW (Dalian) Diesel Engine Co., Ltd., FAW Wuxi Oil Pump and Nozzle Research Institute and FAW Technology Center Engine Development Institute to establish faw liberation Engine Division (hereinafter referred to as the "Division").

The Division is located in Wuxi, Changchun and Dalian, with its headquarters in Wuxi, covering an area of over 870,000 square meters and employing over 7,500 people. Its main products are diesel engines, gas engines, moving parts, remanufactured products and common rail systems. Among them, diesel engine products have achieved full coverage of heavy, medium and light products, with power coverage of 40-650 horsepower and displacement coverage of 2-16 liters, which is unique among Chinese diesel engine independent enterprises. He has won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and other major honors, and has become the first batch of pilot demonstration projects of intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. At present, the market share of diesel engine products of the Division exceeds 4 million units, which keeps the leading position in the field of heavy-duty diesel engines.
