Decision of the State Intellectual Property Office on the Granting of the 21st China Patent Award

All relevant national industry associations and relevant units:

In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the second, third and fourth plenary sessions of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fully implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on promoting high-quality development, and vigorously promote innovation Drive the development strategy and national intellectual property strategy, accelerate the building of a strong intellectual property country, and decide to actively and effectively carry out the creation, use, protection and management of intellectual property rights, and make outstanding contributions to innovation and economic and social development. The inventor (designer) is commended.

According to the provisions of the "Chinese Patent Award Evaluation Measures," recommended by relevant departments of the State Council’s intellectual property management agencies, local intellectual property offices, relevant national industry associations, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Patent Public announcement, the State Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization have decided to award 30 inventions and utility model patents including "Ginkgolide-containing preparations and their preparation process" and other Chinese patent gold medals, and 10 "rail vehicle headstocks (2014-3)" Design patent Chinese design gold medal; the State Intellectual Property Office decided to grant 58 inventions including "catalyst components and catalysts for ethylene polymerization", utility model patents, silver medals, "eye massager (iSee4)", etc. 15 appearance design patents Chinese appearance design silver medal; the State Intellectual Property Office decided to award 696 inventions, such as "a selective hydrogenation method for styrene block polymers containing conjugated diene prepared by coupling method" China Patent Excellence Award for New Type Patent, 60 design patents such as "Headphone (1)" China Design Excellence Award; The State Intellectual Property Office decided to award the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office and other 8 units with the China Patent Award Best Organization Award, Tianjin City Outstanding Organization Award of China Patent Award of 20 units including the Intellectual Property Office, and Best Recommendation Award of China Patent Award of 12 academicians including Sun Yongfu.

　  For inventors (designers) who have won the China Patent Award, their units should record their awards in their files as an important basis for assessment, promotion, and appointment of positions, and their units or superior authorities should give corresponding rewards.

The majority of intellectual property workers across the country should closely unite around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, guided by Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and model commended patentees and inventors (designers). Forget the original aspiration, keep the mission in mind, forge ahead, pioneer and innovate, and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of my country's economy and society.
