With an overall size of 341mm×250mm×445mm, the wearable outdoor load-carrying system is a module-based electronic communication product targeted at problems in wild emergency aid scenarios like localization, the difficulty in carrying communication devices and overloading; it’s a new-type wearable load-carrying system through technological integration and innovation in relevant fields.
The load-carrying system is mainly used for carrying materials and devices by single persons and enabling special operation in outdoor scenarios. As load-carrying directly affects the operation ability and durability in special environment, the design of load-carrying items catches attention of both foreign and domestic enterprises. Although load-carrying items can’t be as attractive as automobile equipment, they play an important part in the field of outdoor equipment design.
Unlike traditional back frame or straps, the wearable outdoor load-carrying system reflects an innovative idea of design that combines both “soft and hard shells”. Made of a high modulus carbon fiber backboard and a roll cage, the “hard shell” evenly scatters the load of communication equipment through binding straps and fast assembling & dismantling boards. The “soft shell” introduces the lightweight Cordura fabric matched with several fast dismantling structures as well as multi-point load-carrying back strap components, with the wrapping feel exceeding over 95% products of the same kind. Going beyond the traditional design for load-carrying, the R&D team invented the polymeric material mouldless formation technology, and designed a double-layer elastic net frame between human body and the back board to provide support to the back and ensure air permeability, comfort and shock absorption.
In terms of practicability, based on the general modules of the back frame for communication equipment, the system includes three components, i.e. multi-point load-carrying back strap component, adaptive strengthened back frame component, and communication equipment component. It allows fast packing and replacement of back straps and waist bands through the fast dismantling structure, which saves transport space and reduces the difficulty in equipment distribution; it enables even distribution of load on human shoulders and waist through the adaptive elastic net frame, strengthening the wrapping feel along with the “soft shell”; it has unified interfaces and complementary components thanks to the module-based back board. The product has evolved into a dozen of targeted equipment based on soft and hard shells by far, covering scenarios like wild communication, rescue command and wild data collection and analysis.
In terms of materials, main components of the strengthened back board are formed with T700 carbon fiber modules, with the hard shell weighing less than 1,100g and passing the 100kg dynamic load-carrying test. The multi-point load-carrying back strap is made of #1000D DuPont Cordura fabric stuffed with lightweight and elastic polymer material, meeting the needs for high elasticity, strong resistance against wearing and stretching.
The sculpture-like curve design is adopted for product appearance, showing its strength as an outdoor product and meeting the needs in carbon fiber module formation. As for color and technical design, black & orange peel paint and GY06 orange peel paint are available to satisfy personalized needs in different environments.
